China Outbound Travelers Demographics – Infographic

Tourism-Review.com compiled a neat infographic overview of the Chinese Outbound Travelers’ demographics.

Key facts include:

  • In 2013 outbound travel market in China reached 98 million person trips. (increase of 18% from the previous year)
  • Most of Chinese outbound travelers came from Shanghai, Guangdong, and Beijing, and also form some coastal provinces such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang and etc.
  • The average monthly income of Chinese outbound tourist is about US$ 1 900 and the average monthly family income is about US$ 3 400.
  • About 70% of the Chinese cross boarder tourists arrange trip at least once a year; about 37% more than once a year.
