Chinese Visitors can win Prizes in Thai Tourism Poll

Chinese tourists are invited to cast ballots today (May 26) through June 8 on their favourite places in Thailand.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s People’s Choice Awards have 14 categories – Luxury Hotels, Boutique Hotels, City Hotels, Beach Hotels, Airlines, Shows and Entertainment, Medical and Wellness Services, Restaurants, Spas, Golf Courses, Shopping Centres, Tourism Activities, Theme Parks and Attractions and Destinations.

Voters get a chance to win prizes, topped by a five-day holiday for two in Thailand, including accommodations and return airfare. More than 100 other prizes are on offer, such as vouchers for accommodations, spa treatments, dining and live shows.

Visitors should head to to have their say.

The businesses and destinations that win the most votes will be honoured at a ceremony in Bangkok on June 12.

“This project, now in its third year, reflects the huge and growing popularity of Thailand among tourists from the People’s Republic of China,” notes TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn. “The enthusiastic response to the poll shows the growing interest from our largest tourist market. These awards also encourage the many Thaibased providers of tourism products and services to maintain the highest standards and ensure that valuable visitors return year after year.”

The TAT is promoting the poll along with Tencent, China’s largest Internet firm, and on the mobile applications WeChat, QZone and QQmessenger.
