China generating 2nd highest Number of Downloads from Windows Mobile Store

According to a recent Microsoft report, China is generating the second highest number of downloads on Windows Phones from the Windows Mobile Store. The market with the highest number of downloads is United States, followed by China, and there are many emerging markets that generate significant downloads, including India, Brazil, Mexico, and Russia.

China’s figures are interesting in relation to the fact, that in terms of system language user figures, Chinese users rank fourth, which indicates that Chinese users download a larger number of apps than many other markets, likely driven by Chinese users’ ever lasting thirst for social media and gaming apps.
